where is the best place to purchase a new barrel

The best place probably depends on which model barrel you are looking for. If you are looking for 357 or 44, the auction sites are probably the best bet. Ebang pretty much picks up all auctions at the popular sites.
If you are looking for Supermag or other calibers not listed above, CZ may be your only option. Of course you could keep an eye on the classified section here. Someone may have a spare they would sell to a forum member in need.

OK- so you are looking for a shroud and barrel. Correct?
Something like this maybe? Barrel doesn't look new but shroud looks in good shape.

That one has been up for almosr a week with no one touching it at $175. Maybe send him an email and offer $125, see if he'll bite. Looks to be in very nice condition
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
