I wanted to share the barrel wrench and tool I made to take down the trigger group on a large frame Dan.

The barrel wrench came with my 44 Dan.  This is the best tool I have used.  It comes with plastic sleeves that attach to the handle when not in use.  As you can see I am missing one sleeve.  As the wrench is now it will fit 357 Mag.  41 Mag. and 44 Mag.

The tool I made to take down the large frame Dan. is from those cheep cleaning rods you get in new gun cases.  For me this is a much safer way to move the latch on the trigger group.

Please let me know who made the barrel wrench, if you know.    R S

Thats a good idea. I missing something here. How will the wrench fit the small and large frame barrel? They have two different size nuts. Oh! I think I got it, you mean the 357 SM not magnum. If thats the case it would fit the .375 SM too, right?

The wrench Eric makes is similar.  Plus the pilots are interchangeable for different calibers.

I have never seen that one before. It looks well made. I don't guess it's one of Eric's (EWK) prototypes. I have Eric's barrel tool with the interchangeable pilots which is super heavy duty and is ingenious with the aluminum pilots.

That tool used to show up on eBay a lot.  I believe that it also has pilots for the different calibers; they're screwed into the ends of the T's, at least that's how it was described on eBay.

Thanks Mike for the heads up.  As you can see it is missing one sleeve.  I am guessing it may be for the 45?  R S
