Just bought a Lee Classic Turret Press this week , looking forward to getting it set up and starting another chapter of being a gun owner.
That's my next chapter also and the same choice of press. Every time I save enough money to get set up I see a revolver I "need." I think I'm past that stage now, and have 10,000 pieces of brass waiting for me.

Welcome to the hobby of rolling your own! I enjoy reloading as well as casting and contemplating getting into swaging. I've found that faster so far as bullet speed isn't always better. I had some of my most accurate loads with hollow base wad cutters in .38 cases. When ever I decide to get a new caliber I figure in the cost of dies, molds, and the rest of the accessories.

Welcome! It's very addicting as others have mentioned.
Bullets I use for my DW 715 and 744 are Zero jacketed bullets. The cheapest (very high quality though) jacketed bullets you'll find.
Prices include shipping - and I see you're from MA like me. They require copy of LTC to be emailed to them. They also ship free samples - info on homepage:

14.5 gr of 2400 powder under a 158 gr Zero JSP/JHP will shoot 1.5-2 inch groups at 100 yards from a rest with my scoped 715 VH8.

That's awesome! I just bought the Lee Classic Deluxe Turret press kit myself and I'm getting my reloading bench setup. I purchased a riser from Inline Fabrication like the one in the picture posted by stinger. The main reason I bought it is for my Marlin rifles in 444 Marlin, 308 Marlin Express, & 32 Win Special, & 44 magnum, but after seeing the cost savings for .357, I picked up the Lee .38 special deluxe 4 die set which can also be used for .357 magnum. My dies should come in next week. I'm really looking forward to reloading.

Finally got the press all set up and dialed in , and made my first small test batch of bullets today. I made 20 rounds of 9mm , went out and shot them and everything went well. I'll now make a hundred using the same recipe and then if it all goes well again I'll just go crazy and make as many as I have bullets for ( I bought 500 bullets ).
My recipe was .........
CCI small primers
4 grains of H231
Jacketed 124gr flat nose bullets
OAL of 1.085

I normally use 700X or HP 38 but I don't have too many Winchester powders on the shelf. Now it's time to get a good chronograph so you can chart deviation. That will help you understand how consistent your reloading procedure is.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

I bought what was available at a local shop , if everyone would stop hoarding all the supplies we could all get our fair share.
Primers are the tough item to get in quantity - mainly small pistol. Seems like all of the online vendors like powdervalleyinc are limiting to 5k primers per person.
I snagged 24k Fiocchi small pistol primers (only $600 out the door) at Shooters Outpost in Hooksett, NH back in March/April (split with 2 other reloaders) and now I'm hearing they are limiting pistol primers to 2k per person.
But they have a good selection of powders. If you need powders also check out Al's gun and reel shop in Derry, NH. Also Glenn's Ammo in North Reading has A LOT of powders to select from but his prices are on the high end - but if there's a powder you want to try he'll most likely have it or can get it within a few days. He was the only place I could score Alliant Sport Pistol powder locally, last year.

I bought the same LEE set a month ago and am enjoying it. I shot my first reloads(38spl Xtreme 158 gr FP copper plated over 4 grains HP-38) last week. No problems. I found plenty of HP-38 and bullets but no primers. After a couple weeks searching with no luck I called a freind that had enough to sell me 3K SPP. I'll try .357s next as I've saved 10K 38 & 357 cases. It's going to be a great hobby. Glad to see you guys like your Lee Turret presses.

That's great, I'm sure you'll enjoy having it. At this point, I've now reloaded 35 Remington, 30-30, 444 Marlin, .223 & 5.56, 9mm, 45 ACP, .38/.357, 44/44M, 6.5 Grendel. The only round that I shoot (besides rimfire) that I haven't reloaded is the 32 Win Special.
On the 35 Rem & 6.5 Grendel, I haven't shot any factory ammo at all. When I bought my 35 Rem dies, the guy threw in about 70 pieces of brass (30 of which weren't usable anymore) and I picked up another 100 for a very reasonable price out of a reloading supply in New York. My son shoots a lot of 6.5 Grendel and he gave me about 100 pieces of once-fired brass.
All ammo prices have been so high that you can reload just about anything and come out way ahead.
