jertex I bought the same LEE set a month ago and am enjoying it. I shot my first reloads(38spl Xtreme 158 gr FP copper plated over 4 grains HP-38) last week. No problems. I found plenty of HP-38 and bullets but no primers. After a couple weeks searching with no luck I called a freind that had enough to sell me 3K SPP. I'll try .357s next as I've saved 10K 38 & 357 cases. It's going to be a great hobby. Glad to see you guys like your Lee Turret presses.
I have had issues with that Lee Turret press not dropping powder sometimes and therefore getting squibs; especially on the smaller grain loads like .38. One time, I took out and visually inspected inside for powder every third round and I still got 3 squibs in the first 24 rounds. That was using Titegroup powder. Since, I only load larger grain .357 rounds.

Thanks for the warning. I've been using only HP-38 so far and the only problem I'm having is some leakage high around the spring above the turret. Not a lot but annoying. I visually inspect every case to verify powder drop before seating the bullet. It only takes me a few seconds to pull out the case and look before seating and I can still get 50 per hour loaded. I also weigh the powder charge every 8-10 cases. Definitely don't want squibs or double charge. Last week I reloaded 31 rounds and tried them at the range and all shot well with no issues and accurately. Today I'll try shooting some more. BTW, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Titegroup was a problem for me as well, so when I have to use that powder, I use my Redding model 3 powder measure, which is better, but that powder just doesn't work well in either powder measure. I have quite a bit of it and would love to get rid of it, frankly, because it's so difficult to get a consistent charge.
I actually prefer the Redding powder measure overall because it is very consistent. When I'm reloading rifle cartridges, I use the Redding and measure every single charge to maximize consistency and accuracy. I don't mind the extra step and I don't reload for speed, so it's not a problem for me.

I am going to look into another powder when I get through with my Titegroup, for sure. For rifle reloading, I use a Redding T7 press and hand measure each load to ensure proper grain weights. The Lee Turret has too much natural flex in the turret head for me to be satisfied with my rifle cartridges.
