Got a problem. I had my DW 22 out today, and when I went to put it up, I always wipe it down, and for some reason, I got a wild hair to to see how the front sight installed. Using the barrel wrench I backed the set screw out about half way and it turned pretty easy. Pulled the sight and wiped it down, then put it back in then went to screw the set screw and it broke off right at the bottom of the socket for the allen wrench. Has anyone else had this happen, and it so, did you get the remaining piece the set screw out yourself or did you have to take it to a gunsmith? Also, where can I get a new set screw? Any suggestions would be appriciated.
Thanks,

I just want to say thanks for the assistance. I was able to screw the remaining piece of set screw through into the sight slot using a small drill bit as suggested, and I was able to find a new set screw at a local hardware store that fit and seems to work just fine. In case anyone does the same thing or drops one, the set screw is a #4-40 and is between 1/4" and 5/16" long, so I just used the 1/4" one. I did find out that the broken set screws od was actually undersized for a #4 even though it was threaded correctly. I will definitely be more careful in the future messing with the sight, but at least now I know how to fix it.
Thanks,

I find the site helpful. I didn't know about it until last year when I bought my 4" barrel from Jody. I am glad I was able to get the set screw out and that I was able to find one that fit. Before I found it though I had sent a message to CZ asking about the availability and cost of the set screw, so today I received a reply back and the set screw was $2.95 with $9 shipping. I only paid 17 cents for the one at the hardware store.
