I'm trying bullets from the same two moulds that function great and are very accurate in other 1911s I've fired them in; one being a 185 gr. SWC RCBS and the other being a 240 gr. truncated cone NEI. I'm giving both of them a try in my DW Patriot 1911. Both of these bullets have to be so deeply seated to chamber that they then feed unreliabily. I don't have a round nose bullet mould but I'm thinking that's what it will take to get my overall cartridge length to make it a reliable load and still have the round chamber in that tightly chambered "Match" barrel. Has anyone worked up a reliable and accurate cast bullet load for their DW 1911s; what bullet mould?
