i had been getting double action light strikes quite often with my DW15-2. I tried reducing the grip screw tightness and made sure everything was lubed correctly. No joy. I finally ordered a Wolf reduced spring setz and installed the 8 lb main spring. I noticed that the new 8 lb spring was stiffer than the origianl 9 lb spring.
I took it to the range and fired 48 double action rounds with no light strikes.
My impression is that the original springs lose their spring weight after being compressed for 50 years.

John I'm having the same problem with my latest DW. Mine was an early gun and showed very little signs of use. I emailed Eric at EWK about a spring kit. He replied with some helpful advice. We are going to order a kit and see if it cures the problem. I'm like you in thinking that these lose some strength after 50 years. Eric says his kits are the same as factory so that and a clean & lube should get it running.
