Who was the DW revolver smith that retired in Apr/May of '22.  He sent me an email with the 44 mag barrel thread pitches and now I can't seem to find the email.

Does anybody know the frame and nut thread pitches for a 44 ??

Bob Collins retired just before Memorial Day last year.   All custom orders were cancelled.   DW reorganized, not hiring a replacement revolversmith.    It was a sad day for us.

You can likely get the specs from Keith @ DW.

I emailed Keith and he didn't provide any info and said it was unsafe (a copout).

If you have a competent smith repair a barrel, he will most likely recommend Loc-tite or do it themself.

Keith has company liability.   His copout was a CYA.   Don't hold it against him.

Contact EWK and wait.

WOW! Thanx for all the links. About halfway down was a link from 2013 where Scorpio provided measured info for the 45 Colt frame/barrel. Specs might be a bit different, but it will get me close.

I have a lathe and just enough knowledge to make me dangerous. I can thread it myself and will have a friend help with cutting the forcing cone. I still don't know how I am going to get the extractor to fit in the cylinder. These were broach cut, and I have no way to do that.
