I read a posting some time ago that a certain gunsmith that worked on DWs is no longer in business. I have a .22 (bought new) that I've never been happy with how accurate it shoots. Does anyone have a recomendation of where to send it for a first class look over and work over if there's something that can make it shoot better?
Thank you.
Thanks for the ideas. Steve, thanks for the generous offer. I bought a couple of 6" spares from CZ a while back when they had them on sale. Mine (the new ones) have a tool mark in the throat. I've never put one on my gun, I'll do that and give it another try.
I've been looking at the EWK site and I'm thinking of buying a set of barrels...wish the .44s had a tighter twist.

Rumor had it that there were a few DW22's that would just not shoot due to a batch of bad barrels--you can easily remedy that by ordering a new one from DW direct. I have bought several of them over the years and they are first rate quality. I believe EWK is also supplying 22 barrels now.

If that is a 6" and you'd like to try a different barrel, I have one (barrel only) that I'd be happy to send you to try out,
PM me.
Unless your 22 is pretty screwed up functionally, the problem may be the barrel.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
