I had messed up the threads on my .44 mag 6" barrel when trying to remove it. I got the barrel off the frame then I had to get the barrel nut off of the barrel/shroud and even though I padded the clamp I ended up clamping the threads on both ends of the barrel. Gary J recommended that I contact Eric at EWK and I sent these photos to him. He said send it in and he'll see what he can do.
This is what Eric sends back:
As you can see there are some very minor marks but it functions perfectly. Considering the original state of the barrel I'm surprised he could do anything at all with it. Also when I say it functions perfectly, I mean it hand screws onto the frame and the barrel nut screws on just like it was new. He also cleaned up the fouling that was on the barrel. And yes, he was very reasonable on the price. All I can say is that combined with previous purchases from Eric it makes me a very happy customer .

Thanks guys!
The bad part is it can't be made to look like new after the metal has been displaced where there were supposed to be nice sharp threads, but hey, at least it works!
I tried to blue it to as it would have looked pretty, but found out it was a stainless barrel!
