Here is a flash-hider style that I haven't seen before. It goes on a 375 SM, DW. This gun is for sale on GB. Current price is 949.00. It's a rare bird for sure.
I have a A-2 birdcage flash-hider I bought from EWK and it's really neat. I really like this design. I don't know who makes it. Eric could make one like this. What do you think Eric? It screws on like your other one. I would like to have one.

Given this persons knowledge of DW and EWK.. I have a very hard time believing this is not a DWF member.
I an watching the scope and mount.. and would love his 744VC8!
You are correct, the listings are mine. I didn't mean to imply the Flash Hider was Erics, that is why I said "and a Flashider" [with a typo], but now that I read it, it does look like it could mean that. Honestly, I thought it was Eric's at first, but then realized I don't know whose it is. If you want, I could post some closeups of the flash hider when I get some time.
Yea, the 744VC8 is sweet. If I end up "stuck with one" of the revolvers, I hope it is that one .

Nice SM Headsmaster you shouldn't have any problem selling that.
Note the part about the branishing, flame etching occurs on the top strap where
the back end of barrel and the front end of the cylinder meet. You can see this
in picture #10 . Not sure about the rear of topstrap thats the first I have ever
seen.

D'oe. I must have been tired. I was typing up 8 descriptions in one afternoon. Of course you are correct. Will go and fix that.

If memory serves me correct, that is the original EWK prototype flash enhancer...

Ok Shoot,
As I said, I first thought that the flash hider was Eric's, but when I went to his web site, I didn't see that model anymore, so I figured my memory was just going... .
I'll buy that it was a first edition. BTW Eric, I REALLY like this version. If it was yours why don't you make them anymore?

He only made a few and then went to the Tactical looking one. The older style I kidded him about calling a "Flash Enhancer" as the ole TiteGroup really showed up well against the long thin device.
I think I snagged up about the last of the old ones for the small frame. This was prior to Eric comming out with the Test barrels, as that pic was from when I put 100+ rounds though his test barrel ( in 100+ degree heat).

You can see the hole pattern is different on the one I made (see pinetor's pic) and headmasters...also all that style I made was for the small frame only.
As to why they aren't made anymore, just made a few up for playing/experimenting. Ultra rare EWK collectible!
Possibly will be coming out with another version...
As to headmasters, I think there was a guy on ebay selling them awhile back, that's prolly where it came from.

Eric it looks really snazzy. I like this design and so do some of the other guys. If you decide to build some more let us know and we'll place a order upfront. I realize it's not for everyone. Thanks guys for for the input. I would really like to have that 375, but I have bought to many guns this year already.

I ended up getting another one of those flash hiders along with a 44 mag revolver and some barrels that I won at an auction. I got to stop that, I am getting a Model 44 . There was a card enclosed, "Spearfish Gunsmithing", Muzzle Brakes for Dan Wesson and Wesson Revolvers, Matt Strickland (605) 642-3385.(South Dakota).
I am suprised he is not on this board?!? I did find a new member Strickland, joined a time ago. But not the same first name.
Anyways, I never did call the number, but the clear implication is that he is the one who makes/made these flash hiders.

That's good info to know. Is that flash hider the same style as Eric's?
"Same style", different hole pattern as far as I can tell. I don't have one of EWKs old ones so I can't compare side by side. Doesn't sound like he makes those anymore. Look at Pinetor's post near the top for EWKs, and my photo with the other one on a 44 (on a chair) just a few posts up.

Ok, I see the difference now. I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to detail before.
