OK- I had 50 parts. I don't have a list available, and it would take too much time to produce one. As I look at the parts list, I saw one more-I could have pushed out the front sight pin. The things that surprised me were:
Latch Retention Screw-this is a really itsy bitsy screw
Latch Spring area was really nasty
Trigger Stop Screw- Has to be adjusted from the inside, why not turn it around so you can adjust it with a very short Allen wrench?
The DW Spring Kit lists 9 springs, and this does not include the two under the rear sight, lots of springs
One last thought-I've owned DW's for over 30 years, and I was always hesitant to take one all the way down. Once this is done, I'm going to break down Old Faithful (my original 15-2) and check it out. I know where it's been for 33 years, I'll be interested to see what's going on.
Really the last thought- This was a kitchen table project, so easy to do it's scary.
Hope we had some fun with this
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I agree that putting back together may be more interesting, but this does not look nearly as complicated as it did at first glance. By the time I'm done polishing and ready to put together I may well have and expert here to help me.

Hope is not a course of action
