I am setting up my 15-2 with a scoped 8" bbl and want to zero it in with some hotter .357 hunting level loads.
DWs have a reputation for being strong, I am not going 'over book' but is there anything to worry about with max published loads of H110 with 180 gr JHPs [XTP or Nosler?] In the 13.6-13.8 gr range with WSP magnum primers.
Of course I will start lower and work up - just not familiar with the DW and hotter loads.

I have only loaded 180 grain bullets in the 357 Max cartridge so I am not able to speak to that load. My "hunting" load for the .357 Magnum has been 16.3 Grains H-110 with a 158 grain JHP for many years out of Smiths and Dan's and carbines as well. Never had a gun or cartridge problem with it. I think it is not at the top end of hot but I can shoot it out of anything. Just my 2 cents..

You should not have any problem with any max "published" load, especially since you are going to work up to max. DW's are really strong.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
