Thank you guys for your replies:  im looking to shoot 275+ for our steel buffalo shoots max weight would be 335gr.  But Im interested in all the data I can get cause I will be hunting with it too.  my powders are AA1680 H110 2400 Lil Gun IMR 4227 Win 296.  I heard the 275-285gr cast are good for the steel....Again thank you all for your input and expierence, I truly value all the knowledge I can gain on this cartridge die to lack of published data.......again thank you!!

Hornady has a 300 gr. XTP and they recommend for AA1680 a stating load of 28.6 gr for about 1100fps. H110 would be 24.6gr. for same velocity. And 296 shows 24.4gr. again for same velocity. Hope these starting points will help. Good luck with your shoot.

I've been shooting cast with 2400 (with no leading). I'll take a look at the load data when I get back in town. I worked it up in consultation with Ron, he might recall what we cooked up.

IIRC, we started with a max load of 2400 for a 240 gr. bullet.  Where it went from there, I don't recall.

I think that was for the 741. I think on the 7445 we started at max load of 2400 for 300 gr. cast bullet pulled from the Hornady cast reloading manual. I pushed it some from there, but don't have that info with me.

Here's what I'm shooting.
