Hi Guys,
New member and this is my first post. I have had the 714 .38/.357 in Stainless Steel for over 25 years now. I have the 2" and the 6" barrels to match. I just bought a 4" on gunbroker and it is blued (the photos on gunbroker made it look Stainless Steel). The seller will not take it back so I was considering removing the blueing to get it to match my stainless steel 714. Is this a wise move or should I just resell it and look for a 4" stainless steel barrel?
What do you think?

I'll check in with Eric as you suggested.
Thanks!

I think you will be joining me on the Stainless Shroud "waiting list", but definitely let him know what you need. He's in the finishing stages of "something new", and it sounds like SS shrouds are next on the horizon.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks guys for your input. You know its too bad really. The blued shroud on this is really beautiful and the barrel is pretty good. I really would ruin it if I tried to take the blue down.
I will have to post it back on gunbroker or ebay. I have never sold anything through those venues but I guess there's a first time for everything.
I paid $200.00 for it. I will never buy anything again on line unless I get a confirmation that I can return it if there is a problem.
Again, thanks!

So I understand, you have a 4" blue, pinned front sight, standard (not heavy) underlug shroud? You could very possibly recover a lot of your purchase price by listing it for sale here.
Also, absent any special work you might request from Eric, he is producing VH (Vent rib, Heavy underlug) shrouds for the 715 model, you would also need the front sight conversion to make it suitable for a 714.
