Powder companies will normally only publish for their products.
I use:
Lee, it came with my reloading equipment
Lyman, pretty good overall resource
Speer, also good, but specific to their bullets
And, my son put Quickload on my computer. A LOT of info and options
http://quickload.software.informer.com/3.6/
More than one resource is always a good idea
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

thanks Steve, I've got an older lyman and a hornady. Just thought I would get something newer. Think I will go with the lee.

Be advised that much of the Lee manual is mostly about how great Lee has been for reloading and reloaders.
I think mine is a pretty balanced selection, mostly because when something does not make sense, I just call my son and ask:"WTF???"
Of the three, I like Lyman the best. QuickLoad is fascinating and complicated for me.
Remember that pretty much all of the manufacturers also have info on their websites

I checked out the quicload. It seemed like a pretty awesome program.. I may put out for it one day, but just a lil too deep for my pockets at the moment.

Cecil, as Steve mentioned the powder companies usually only list loads for their powders. Bullet selection is one particular brand per weight….at least the ones I've seen. Hodgdon has a magazine format 'manual' sometimes seen on magazine racks. Many are 'give aways' you can find in gun stores.
Lyman, like you have, has more cast bullet loadings than most. I do like the Speer manual overall, but that's just me. Some offer more information for certain calibers than others. With any, and especially online powder websites, be aware of the test barrel length the company used for testing. Some use actual firearms, many test barrels. Once saw some amazing velocities for a 357 Mag load, then noticed the test barrel length was eighteen inches. Thought I was searching a pistol loading.
I try to look at as much information as I can find then sort it out. Sometimes the differences are surprising. You can find good information on the internet, but some is quite 'questionable'.

Hodgdon also has a great spot on the web with lots of loading data for several powder companies with various bullets.
Nosler's site has data for their bullets.
RamShot (Western Powder?) has lots of data on their web site. Their burn rate chart is great to use if you can't find your favorite powder and need to try something "close".

I think that both Lyman manuals do a great job of educating the reloader. There is more shooting and caliber specific info in these books than you find anywhere else.
I also have a special personal connection with Lyman, they are about three miles away from where I sleep every night.

Well just to update, I got the brand new Lyman 49th ed. came in the mail today. Haven't even had a chance to look thru it yet. I really liked the old one and was considering the lee, but the sample views sealed it. I am still seriously considering the PC program quickload Steve's son has. It looks like a really well thought out piece of software, that is from the demo.

Cecil, this is the manual I was talking about. I'm pretty new to reloading and shooting all cast. I've found this to be very educational.

I believe that is what my brother has. He pours lead too. I have thought about it but haven't got there yet. Of course, he is almost entirely off the grid.

I don't pour it, I buy them precast. Pretty darn good value when compared to clad or even plated. I don't think I could trust myself with a cauldron of bubbling lead!

My Lyman manual #49 was purchased from their website as a second, it cost me $4.00. They may still be available. I to visit the powder manufacture websites for data and I love handloader magazine. Richard Lee gave me a copy of his loading book. I worked on his airplane a few times. I did learn something new about pressure on this forum, thank you guys for that.

The bottom line here is that reloaders need to use a variety of sources and make their best decisions.
We are dealing with info and resources from lot's of different sources

When in doubt, I say screw it and read everything I can find then get impatient and contact Ron, my nephew and/or my brother!
