Hmmm…. Has anyone tried to machine their own shroud out of some round stock or such? Conceptually it seems possible. I'd love a low cost bull barrel!

My thoughts are that if you can successfully do this, you will have found a bunch of new Best Friends Forever.
Seriously, I would have no clue how, but clearly a skilled machinist should be able to do this, it would be interesting to see the finished product.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

What do you want with a bull barrel anyway... just curious.
Thinking about the barrel and shroud "system" .. i don't think you can do a bull barrel on a Dan Wesson can you ???

I'm no machinist, but I think a neighbor has a small lathe in his garage…
I'm thinking of something like this PPC shroud, or something round.
Besides, it would look good in the gun cabinet next to the phase plasma rifle in a 40 watt range.

Hey.. with your imagination and Dan Wesson's ability to adapt ANYTHING to those threads.... WHY NOT !!! You could come up with some really cool variations.. your not limited to what is screwed into those threads...
