Some of you may remember my 15-2 from a few years ago. I was cleaning it the other day and found that the cylinder rest is missing. Note the hole in the shape of a "D" I took the side plate off to look for broken parts but it looked fine. The action seems to function normally. Not sure where I can find a replacement. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Guys

You can still get them from. CZ. I got one last year. I used red loctite on it to keep it from falling out again. Contact info below.

Ask for the cylinder stop. It is a service /replacement part designed to replace the piece of the sideplate that sometimes breaks off. This is a problem primarily on earlier production guns, and as noted, it can be locktited into place. You might consider getting a couple of them in case it happens again.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I ordered three directly from CZ last year. The DW gunsmith at CZ suggested that I actually file the side plate to fit the cylinder stop and then put a drop of crazy glue on it - I didn't like that idea too much, so I bought three and chose the one that fit snug without filing. Now I have two spares.
They usually press fit in. If you have to locate it be very careful not to set it too deep. And take the sideplate off to do it. I am pretty sure it happens by pounding on the extractor to dislodge a sticky case. A pencil, dowel, end on a steel barrel tool, etc will be better than bending an extractor or knocking off a stop. Also keep your index and middle finger of your left hand pushing on the cylinder through the frame to prevent the cylinder from closing on the extended star and scratching the sideplate. Smiths and Colts don't have that problem because they are held in your right hand and tilted to the left to eject and reload.

??? A little off topic, sorry. S&W and Colts don't get scratched because the cylinder release is located where the DWs tend to be scratched... IMO. The mechanics of ejecting, for me, is the same as with the DW. Maybe we're talking apples and more apples....
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
