Something I really did not want to do.. but the time has come as well as the oppurtunity.... Pine is going BLUE... Blue Dillion that is.  My re-loading buddy has pretty much bailed ( due to pressing family issues) and with the economy, politics of buying and moving live ammo... I have decided to purchase my first reloading press. Its "just" a Dillion Square Deal with the 357/38 die set. Since I own 4 357's and nothing else except a 22 and 12 guage .. I figure this would be up my ally.  I have been scoping out lever action .357 on GB.. and actually found one I mostly like .. but the Dillion came in at a great price ( $290 man refurb).. so a rifle will have to wait.

Current plans to to just become proficient at keeping myself supplied with consistant quality and cheap .38s (mostly 140gr - 158gr WC or SWC) and work my way up to some hog killers. Due to a forum member I also have 1000 .357, that I want to work them up for the next time we get invited up to ohio to shoot some sure 'nuff iron pigs, chicks, and sheep.

Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box

in that order.

4 Monson Model 15's

1 Palmer FB 15

1 Rossi 357 Model 92 (lever)

1 CZ 75B

Pine,

I get my best prices on new powder, primers and bullets at gun shows (I say new as opposed to old left over stock from days gone by).  You don't have to pay HazMat fees.   The hazmat fee runs the price up fast.

Great first step Pine, next is pouring your own...  When I get home, maybe we can link up in Natchez or something....

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

A progressive and 38/357 is a wonderful thing laugh... I can set the kids in front of it and they rack out a few hundred rounds for us in no time at all.

Sounds like you're going to have a fine setup!  You'll need to provide some reloading bench pics when you have everything setup.

Enjoy!
