Cabela's-Allen Tx no pistol powder - plenty of Rifle powder

Bass Pro-Grapevine Tx 1 can bullseye, 2 Unique nothing else - plenty of rifle powder

Two local independent shops Plano, Tx No pistol powder - plenty of rifle powder

And as usual, they don't know when any will be coming.

Head to Houston or have a local pick some up from Lohman's.  Guess it just depends on location and regional suppliers.  I'd use the telephone and call around to the local shops.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

And I did just that this morning..  Called a little 500 sq.ft. shop southeast of here that's only open 4 days a week where I bought my first can of Tightgroup a few years ago.  He had a bunch of HP38 and a bunch of CFE pistol and a whole lot of primers.

Spent a couple of hours catching up and got some interesting information.   According to him HP38 is exactly the same as Win231 and when I looked it up loads and pressures were identical.

HP 38 is what I use for most all my pistol loads. That and Accurate #5, 7, and 9. Shooters Supply house in Louisville has a ton of powder but I think they got rid of their online store. I just bought 12lbs of powder 15,000 primers in 5 sizes. Just shy of $1150. Already loaded 3000 9MM and about 700 or .40S&W.

HP38 and Win 231 loads are really close, always check you load books.

I like HP38 a lot and it is very nice for loading 45 ACP, with big and small primer holes.

Bullseye powder is always hard to find here in Indiana.

Holy smoke, I hope you have a motorized press.  Otherwise if you pulled the handle that many times you ought to be able to arm wrestle with "The Rock".  I only load about 250 each of .357/.38/9mm a week.  Shoot 'em up during the week and start all over on Sunday.  However I do keep a pretty fair inventory in case the zombie apocalypse comes my way.  Rumor has it that it will start in Haiti and work it's way here via boat people that slip past the Coast Guard.

It ain't a complete drought here in Central PA.  I am not sure what all you fellows are using for your magnum loads, but for heavy hitter loads I have started to use Alliant Power Pro MP-300.  Max Loads with regular primers.  And It shoots great!

My local reloader shop has plenty

http://ps-2.kev009.com/ohlandl/310/357-44_Bain_Davis/Handloader_274_Oct_2011.pdf

Found 8 pounders of Unique and I also like Unique for lighter/MId range loads in .357 and .44 mag.

Good luck finding the powders you guys need, but you might also consider it an opportunity to experiemnet with soem new powders that are available.

I don't currently need powder, so I'm not paying real close attention locally. I always seem to see about 20 different powders on hand at Cabela's. The other LGS stocking powder seems to be well supplied with Alliant powders (I really only use Alliant), less variety but a pretty fair amount on hand.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
