Ok firstly,

I am not sure why, but LB has been perfectly mute on a special grip he made. (and NO I dont have a pic yet). In my quest to build a CCW for my wife, LB has provided her with a one-of-a-kind LB "Lady Dan" grip. She loves it, and it will now be her only grip for her use only. ( I will post a pic later)

This also means there is an available LB CCW grip back with LB. (Pic already posted)

Everything has to have a story. Most assuredly I am in Mississippi, which is where I was born, adn spent all but 8 years of my life. (1968 - 1975) Those 8 years were spent in Twin Falls Idaho. My dad, (from whom all my wierdness derives) would make me ride with him to all the local gun shops in search of what-ever he was looking for at the time. It was at that time that he bought HIS first DW revolver. One of these shops was called Herrets. I recall wondering about the shop...as dad could go on and on for hours on stuff that would bore a dead frog.

So here I am with this wonderful grip from LB, but.. really my heart is set on something I recall from my past. I spent the weekend with google.. looking for that lost idea of a grip. Something special that I cant put my finger on. My search ( after a few hours) hit on Herrets web site. There it is... the grip that I want.. the grip from my childhood.

I wrote to Herrets.. and got a response just minutes ago....

Frank:

I am sorry, but we do not manaufacture stocks for the Dan Wesson models.

We make stocks mainly for Ruger, Colt, Smith & Wesson and High Standard models.

I wish we could be of more help, however, we appreciate you checking with us.

Sincerely,

Robin

Well, so there you go LB.. I cast the gaunlett... can you make me THAT?

Big Grin back at ya!   I usually leave it to the consumer to unveil a new grip but sometimes we must make exceptions.

"Well, so there you go LB.. I cast the gaunlett… can you make me THAT?"

To answer that, I will use a favorite saying of mine that I have yet to use on the ole DWF.  " I can do anything you can afford"  poke

Got to run now, we will see what falls out tomorrow.Cool

As promised here is a grip I did for a member a while back, not quite the same but similar in design.

As said not exactly the same but most things are possible.  Unfortunately I don't do checkering, Just do not have the patience. Other than that your Herrett grips are doable to a reasonable facsimile.   Given ample time we will see what we can come up with.Cool

LB design is far superior to the Herrett, as fast loading and ejection, and the use of a speed loader would be impossible from that pic. Again LB is the grip GOD!!!WorshipWorshipWorship
