I tuned my 15-1 today and it is pretty decent, not great but a big improvement. The single action breaks clean between 3 and 3.5lbs but the double action is stiff and loads up more toward the end of its movement than I would like.
My question is; will the reduced power mainspring for other small frame revolvers fit my -1? The web site I saw them on mentioned the -2 but not mine.
Do I have to go clipping my spring? I have access to a lot of spring stock if I mess up.
I am always looking for broken, ugly, or cheap guns to buy.

No worries, I cut two coils on my mainspring and finished the end, under direction from my instructor. The double action is much better and the single action is now between 2.5 and 3lbs.

One here some where is a tune up for the average joe! Most parts on your 15-1 will interchange with later ones.. In your working with this one step by step with pictures would help all of us!
This is a 14, one of my beaters looks bad but shoots great!
