I am finally getting all my $hit together to reload the 45 Colt, also known as the 45 Long Colt. My Hornady manual talks about light loads for older guns chambered in 45 Colt, and has another section on reloading for the TC and Blackhawk with higher pressures.
I'm planning to load to the higher pressures simply because I think the cylinder and barrel can take it. Even though DW saw fit to notch the cylinder right where the bullets go, I still think it's as strong as the Ruger Blackhawk.
What is your opinion???
Happyness is a Hot DW and a pile of used brass!!! Rich
