I've been reloading since I was big enough to pull the handle on my dads press way back when.... I'm an "old school" reloader; lots of older heavy presses, a few progressives, and lots of powder merasures and scales.... last night it all changed ....
I got a call from a guy interested in buying a Mossy 500 from me. To make the story short--he offered me a brand new, in the box, never used RCBS Chargemaster combo in trade.... GTRCBS ...
So, my son and I fired this thing up to see how it worked...AWESOME !!! We have a few progressive setups, so we don't measure much powder to start with, except for the benchrest and hunting stuff. But when it comes to measuring each load--we'll be using this thing alot. He has a brand new .243 Santa brought him last year, and a new .222 we found this summer, so I think he'll be asking to do some reloading real soon.
I wish I would have bought one of these things a long time ago--but damn, $300+ for a powder measure... Believe me, I know believe it is worth it. So for any of you serious reloaders, maybe pass on that next gun and pick up a Chargemaster instead.
Here's a youtube link I found...

I have been using a RCBS Chargemaster for rifle reloading for a couple of years now. The accuracy of powder delivery is unmatched. Get all your brass worked up right and it's possible to see ~10 fps spread on your reloads.
The article in the following link makes for some fun reading, but also has a few excellent reloading gems buried in it.

I know this is an older thread, but thought I would add my 2 cents.
I have the previous model to the RCBS Chargemaster. It's the unit that uses the scale on the right and the charge dispensor to the left. They communicate back and forth with each other through an electric eye. I typically get +/- .2 grain variation. The one thing I noticed in the pics, my unit has two tubes to dispense powder, one for fast dispense and one for slow trickle dispense. Not to say it's fast by any means, trying to make a couple hundred rounds of .300 Weatherby Mag take forever. One thing I want to do is get a tray like a cafateria tray to put them on for spilage, I always seem to spill some. Just call me a clutz.
Happyness is a Hot DW and a pile of used brass!!! Rich
