Wanted to show you guys a pair of grips I got from Harly a while back, very small rubber grips. This was his original post-https://www.danwessonforum.com/wp-content/gallery/harly/signature/P1040790.JPG
As you can see, they were either made wrong, or were for something other than Dan Wesson. The following pics show what I did with them.

Finally, I glued the two halves together, with the insert trapped inside. Now I just put the screw up through the bottom like other one piece grips. Here they are on my 14-2, along with new 2 1/2 inch barrel from Charlie C. Makes a very tough looking package I think.
I also cut off an allen bolt head, and glued it in the old side hole, just for looks.

Thanks guys. The pics look simple, but took me quite a while to get them to fit decently. I spent a weekend or so just lookin' at them figuring out the best way to make them work.
I have a Shootist model grip from LB (my favorite grip of all), and the Shootist is definitely modeled after this style rubber grip. I don't know how many magnum shots these grips will hold together for, but I took them to the range yesterday and they held up ok for 2 dozen shots. They're not really for target anyway, but make a handy set of concealed carry grips.
I would really like to thank Harly for the grips, it was a fun project and I now have a fairly unusual grip for my 14-2.

My pleasure! I'm glad you were able to make them work for you. If I had tried that modification they would have ended up in the garbage - happens every time! I get too impatient and go cut-crazy - just like I almost did on the stuck Grippers the other day until I came up with the tie-down removal method!

Has anyone tried the odd grip on a Lil-Dan. I know when this first came up I said they were not for the Lil-Dan but in hind sight I wonder if maybe so. The Lil-Dan has a different stud angle and the little swivel portion will slip off leaving a screw hole just like the small frames. Just a thought for someone to try out. Harley got any left?
