Actually, not Santa, but my wife, who listens to our son (freerider04) when it comes to Christmas. Last Christmas, wife, daughter, son got me started back into reloading with a Lee Classic Turret kit and start up supplies (.357 Mag,of course).
I set up a reloading area and have been doing some reloading, and (hey, it's me) adding and accumulating stuff. This year for Christmas my wife got me a Hornady AutoCharge scale/powder measure. I am fully set up for .38/.357, .45 ACP, .223 Remington. Lot's of Lee equipment, but there's some RCBS little stuff, Lyman Tumbler, Cabela's little stuff too.
Please bear with me for a few pictures:
The main work area as of today:
Undershelf:
Those plastic containers are restaurant supply items, and the bench itself is an old computer workstation.
A bookcase that I got free with Staples Rewards holds shooting books, catalogs, reloading manuals, etc. I also have a two year old Dell Netbook that will become a dedicated reloading computer (and stream music to some old Altec/Lansing computer speakers that are somewhere in the garage) running on my Wi-Fi network.
Behind me is my other Happy Place:
My diecast Muscle Car collection (with Dad's Flag on top, he would have been the ultimate reloader).
My state legislation will very soon deal with a proposal to put a 50% surtax on ammunition purchases. I hope it won't pass, but just in case:
5# of powder (2400, Bullseye, Unique, Reloader 15, AR Comp)
In .38/.357/.45/.223 I have:
1000+ in new brass
2400+ in bullets
4000 primers between all three types
AND close to 3000 rounds of factory new ammunition in 9mm/.357/.45/.223 to shoot into brass.
What do I still need?
More powder, more primers
I've always said I'd never reload 9mm, but this ammo surtax might mean I need dies, primers, bullets, just in case . I gotta start learning up on 9mm.
I'll still never reload for .380, but I will stock up on some Critical Defense for the little guy
And, I'm under 2k on .22 lr, that is starting to be in short supply.
Thanks for your patience on a long post, but Jim Beam and I are on vacation this week
edit to clarify: I'm on Vacation, which means that Jim is working all week.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steve,
Nice post, glad Santa was Good and say Hello to Jim for me . I am a reloading "hoarder" myself, been that way for years. Always bringing home a little something everytime I visit the gun store, box of primers,etc.. It may have been a good plan over the years based on today's depletion of products.
Steve, have a great new Year and enjoy the reloading.

CF- Back in the old days, many years ago, I used to set up for reloading just like what you are doing. I reload more and better this way, and it does not really take up much space. I could do and store everything on just the bench shown if I had to.

My Family Discount is 100%, absolutely no charge. If you get 3000 rounds of ammunition from me, it will be free. Pay close attention to the operative word in that sentence.
Time to roll your own.

OK, I can live with that. I ordered 4000 and you said 3000 would be free. How much for the 1000??
Man I gotta tell Andrew about this deal!

Ahhh, the much maligned .38 Spl. Were I as wealthy as you, I'd go to the range and shoot .357 all day long. .38 Spl. is cheap and fun. Start the day with a few hundred .38 Spl. and finish the day with 100 .357. Now that's some affordable fun!
Besides .38 Spl. was in your original post.
"In .38/.357/.45/.223 I have:"
Guess that makes you a girlie man!
