Hi, guys. It is 4 am, and I dont have calipers handy, but realized that I should drill the registration hole in the shroud FIRST.
(That will let me scribe lines, check mating surfaces, confirm milling is plum n square, etc.)
The rollpin used for shroud/frame alignment is small. Does anyone know what size drillbit to use when drilling a shroud?
I assume centerbits are not made.down this small? 3/64ths?
Also, what size IS that pin?
I will see what I can come up with later today.
Inquiring minds want to know ...

Hi Steve! The roll pin should be 3/32". I use #39 or #38 drill so there is some clearance and will go on and off without binding up. Spotting tool is best bet, or use a split point drill to prevent walking, and follow up with a countersink for the chamfer...center drills, especially tiny ones, like a #1 or #2 that would work with the small hole for the roll pin, if you aren't careful, like to snap the drill diameter portion off in the work, and it can get hairy from there with a hardened piece of steel where your hole needs to be!

Jody, I certainly will. I have started a thread on it for the shrouds and grips in this section. I just figured that a technical hardware question would be best found if it wasnt buried in a long thread. I may be able to drill the first one tonight, just got some bits. Thanks.
