So as you guys know, I am doing a little work on my 715 and I want to replace the springs in it.
I am going to be doing the "Average Joes Tune Up", so I will be polishing all the parts. I ordered a super fine (1,000 grit) sharpening stone to use like Shootist did.
Now here's where I need help.
I was thinking about getting the EWK small parts kit with all new springs. However, I emailed Eric and he said the springs are all factory weight.
I can also get the Wolf kit that has reduced power springs to lighten the trigger pull even more.
So I am torn if I should go with the reduced power or the factory power. I am afraid that the reduced power springs will reduce my reliability as well. I would assume the reliability would be 100%, otherwise they would not sell the springs.
What do you guys think I should go with? Factory or Wolf reduced power?

I can only base my reply on my own limited experience. I like the Wolff reduced power springs. I think the 8lb spring works fine. I read that the 71/2 lb. spring can result in light strikes but cannot speak from personal experience. I think the biggest help in smoothing and lightening the action is the reduced power trigger return spring. It even sounds smoother. Although I usually use single action, my accuracy is better in double action with the lighter springs.

Either factory or EWK (I use only factory ones simply because I bought eight sets several years ago, I still have a few unused). I think you will see a much bigger return in careful polishing and fitting than a lighter spring.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
