After three days soaking in Kroil and getting a new barrel wrench from EWK.. and going to the gunsmith to pick my old shotgun.. and the use of a vise... and the use of propane torch... the barrel nut is free!!!!

Great that you finally got it loose. Just a thought on the subject. I believe one of the reasons stuck nuts happen, is people shoot the gun and it becomes loose and then tighten the nut while the gun is hot, so when the gun is cold the nut is super tight and then the nut gets stripped when attempting to remove it cold. Just a theory but I suspect it is responsible for a lot of super tight barrel nuts.
