For years I got plenty of 38 ammo from work, but retired in 2012 and the supply is dropping. I am in the process of trimming my 357 mag cases and getting ready to reload for that round again. Any suggestions for a good light load between 750 to 900 and any suggestions for a heavy true magnum load? I usually work with 158 grain bullets, but any suggestions are welcome. I have 5 pounds of Bullseye powder, but again any load suggestions would be great.
Thanks.

I recently worked up some loads in 38 and 357.
About the only bullets I could find were 148 gr HBWC and 190 gr FP. The WC I load over 2.8 gr of Bullseye. Accurate, a pleasure to shoot, but dirty. Probably too light a load.
The 190 gr bullets I load over 12.4 gr of 2400. Close to max for this bullet, but the felt recoil and blast are more manageable than factory 158 gr loads imo. This seems to be a very accurate load.
These are the only bullets I could find (i only started reloading 38/357 a few months ago) so these are what I use. I have no doubt that there are many on this forum that have far more experience reloading than I do. These are just what I have settled on.
Btw, I am using an EWK 8" barrel with a 1 in 12 twist. I'm not certain, but I believe most Dans have a 1:16 twist, so they might prefer lighter faster bullets.
Good luck.

I may be a little late with this info, but here is what I found to work for me so far.
7.1 gr of Universal powder using a 158gr JHC Seirra bullet CCI 500 primer.
7.1 gr of Unique powder using a 158gr Hornady XTP/HP bullet, CCI 500 primer.
Both of these loads are around the 1000 f.p.s. range according to my reloading book. And these loads pattern nicely out of my 15-2, with a 6" barrel. I wanted some versatiliy with differnt ammo and powders due to the "sometimes hard to get reloading components" trouble we're having.
I now want to find more of a magnum load that works well also, back to the reloading bench. Oh, I've read different times on this forum that some of the guys do not like CCI primers. I've had no troubles with them to this point.

First off, to GaGunner
Second, what job supplied you with take home ammo and are they still hiring
Alliant list one 357 mag Bullseye powder load - LSWC 158 gr / 4.8 grn / 1.57 AOL / 939 fps

A lot of competitive shooters run lighter than published loads with Bullseye, seems to be
a forgiving powder as long as you don't go to an extreme.
