You hit it right on the head...LOL. I got it for free, but love the feel and stability of it. An am sure it would be better in wood as it likes to shift around allot. I intend on bedding material to stiffen it up on the Llama. I would love to try a real wood one on my 15 or 40 to see how it looks, feels and preforms. I tried to send these pics in a PM to Lbruce and had no luck, but posting here worked out. I think that type of grip and a globe front sight on my 40, would intimidate the shooters at any shoot. Or just laugh at the ugliest gun they ever seen...LOL. But it just mite improve my scores. As I will take any advantage I can get in my old age.Big Grin

I have a wood one like that.  I thought it was home made when i bought it, but it looks too similar to that plastic one.  I bought it off ebay many years ago.

Not a close up but here is a picture.  It does inhibit reloading - speed loaders are an impossibility.

That Looks Great, I wish I could find one. And I do know what you mean with loading, even the plastic one is a real pain. How do you like it in general? other than loading.

The grip works beautifully on that model 15 setup pictured above.  The combination of 10" heavy lug barrel and scope makes the revolver very front heavy.  The grip allows a much better hold, hence managing the front weight quite good.

A previous owner engraved a crosshatch "pattern" on the grip and did a very poor job of it.  I need to sand this ugliness out and refinish it.

WOW they sure make some nice grips. I had better go ahead and throw my stuff in the trash can and give up. But then I couldn't find his price list either.

You can find prices for the Nill grips here
http://www.nill-shop.com/index.php?cPath=24000_39000

But they are very expensive.

All they make grips for are S&Ws, Colts, Korths and Manurhins (they're in Germany ... so a long wait too). No DWs though 🙁

MacTec is a US distributor http://mactec-militaryarms.com/nill_grips.html

Friend of mine has a set of these on his S&W 629 snubbie ... beautiful workmanship, they really are worth what they cost.

Those are some real cool grips, my father has a set of one hand style custom grips on a Colt Officers Model Match that were hand made by a froiend and they are coveted sort of like the LBruce grips.  made by friends and not mass produced.  That is the best kind of grip.

if your trash can gets too full, well, you know my address.

BTW-Is having 3 sets of LBG's (LB Grips) the DWF record? Excluding LB, of course.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Isn't there some old Proverb about "the cobbler needing a pair of shoes"?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
