I wouldn't use clamp-on mounts on a .44 Magnum.

Yeah I was wondering if they can really handle the recoil. Hmmm.

There is a B-Square mount on eBay right now.  It's over $200.  Is this the going rate to find a mount?

I'd like to find one for my .22, to add a red dot.

Yeah the prices are just insane. I realize it's all supply and demand but still sucks for us looking for one haha...

It breaks my heart to see what these are selling for now.

Scope mounts, colored front sights, white outline rear sights, Pachmayr Grippers, barrel assemblies, DW grips, 722 and 22 revolvers, ...

I could have just held on to everything and gotten bigger $$$

OTOH, every piece went here on DWF to friends and Forum Members,

Joe Walsh said it all, ""Life's Been Good To Me So Far".

Just Paying it forward, I think.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Just to add to the reference information - the Buehler, Burris and Wiegand drill & tap mounts all use the same screw pattern - so they are interchangeable if you have a shroud already drilled for one, the others will also fit. Just incase you want to change.

Anyone know if the Burris/ Wiegand etc drill and tap mounts use the same screw pattern as the DW scope mount?...

Yes, they do!

Thanks. I was asking since someone on eBay had a nice 6" VH SS 357 shroud that was already drilled and tapped for a burris mount. $120 shipped and I ended up missing it because I wasn't sure of the hole pattern.madcry

Does anyone have experience with the EWK 8" shroud with optical rail (picatinny/weaver) machined into the shroud.  Looks like a great idea, one less part to buy and assemble.

Regards,

John

I don’t have one but know guys who do and they have 0 complaints. Very well made. But good luck finding one as Eric is very busy and still needs to set up his new machinery and shop.

Can anyone ID this as a B Square  DW mount? It was advertised as a "Dan and Wesson" 20$ I took a shot.

I don't think that is a B Square. It looks like an Ironsighter. You can use Iron sights or scope. I may be mistaken about the make but not about its use. I have one but I haven't seen it in years. It is in a safe place I am sure.

Ole Dog, nailed it again, the base is a weaver 309 the rings are by ironsighter, so not for a DW, but I love doing research on this older stuff. Might have to get a S & W someday, it is a see through mount assembly giving the shooter option of iron for close up or scoped for the longer distance.

I'd love to find a DW cantilever mount for my 715 for mounting a red dot.

I know many hate to do it but I swear by them on my 4 DW revolvers. Send the shroud to Bob at DW (bob@cz-usa.com) and have him drill n tap it for their scope base. Numrich has them in stock

I did have to order a black mount as DW hasn't made a SS mount for years if ever they did.
