Hello everyone. I just picked up a 15-2v pack from a 80 yr old family member who said he got it in trade in the late 70’s. He made me an offer I couldn’t refuse @ $700. Even though it was in the case it was not taken care of but I took a chance. Two of the 4 barrell shrouds had a lot of little rust spots on them that damaged the blueing. I was able to get the rust removed and it doesn’t feel like the shrouds are pitted but the finish looks pretty bad on one side. Really unfortunate and I’m going to take it to get looked at here in Indianapolis but I wanted to get some input from the members on if it’s really worth getting the shrouds refinished and what I might be looking at to get them done. I’m basically just a small collector and wouldn’t mind spending some money but don’t want to go crazy. Thanks in advance for the input.
You can ship it to DW for rebluing. Their prices are very fair. Email genny@cz-usa.com

Welcome to the forum. I do not know what they charge but those vent barrels without the underlug are always on ebay for between $250 and $450 depending on condition. May find them on Gun Broker also. can get good prices at auction. Funny how the 4 & 6 got the worst of the rust. Good luck!

Thank you Andrew1220, I have emailed genny. Appreciate the info.
Stsman445, I have been watching a few, along with a buckle and I need one more lug for one of the barrells. Appreciate it. Yeah, Its very odd, the keys for the case had some surface rust on them too. I think he said had them in storage for a while, Im assuming thats how it was expose. The revolver body itself is perfect, I think he had the 2in on it and in the house, but the case in storage.
605dart, Will check them out as well.. Appreciate it.
snake-eye, That seems very reasonable to me. Id be happy to invest that. Appreciate the info.
Ill update as I progress.
Thanks everyone.

The frames and shrouds of Dan Wessons NEVER actually match because of the investment cast frames. They may look identical in indoor light but in strong light or outdoors the difference can be detected. Of course, sometimes it is dramatic, as in Barney. Same with sideplates versus frames. So, if the frame is in good condition I would not bother getting it reblued.
