Hi All,

Just recently got a SS 357 Max with a slotted 8" barrel then picked up a 10" HV barrel.  Went to change it and I see that the roll pin is broke off in the frame and a hand made locator pin was placed in the barrel and cut down to fit into the roll pin fragment remaining in the frame.  No issue getting it all apart but I thought I'd just ask here to see if anyone knows what size the pin is.

Thanks

I've seen that somewhere on here before, so someone should chime in with the size shortly.

Three posts in 13-years is some kind of willpower, I've never seen before.

Shroud locator pin is a 3/32" roll pin (.100") as measured on one of my 740s.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Since my 445 has that issue, here's a followup:

"How long should the roll pin be?"

I am just going to make one out of stainless bicycle wheel spoke

The anti vibration coiled one seems to be a good choice as it also helps if the hole gets a little out of round from use or drilling the old one out.

Harbor Freight sells roll pin assortments in a big case for reasonable prices.  I keep one on my bench for odd jobs.  Same with o rings and sealing washers.
