here is my old 15-2VH6 with the "Metalife SS finish and a later Palmer built 714-VH5 F, with the 'built in comp........
yes the 5 inch gun is a "fixed" barrel configuration.......

yes, the 715 is rollmarked Palmer, and the 15-2 VH6 is Monson..........both 'stock' except for the Metalife SS finish on the 15-2, and that gun shoots one hole groups !!!!( back in the day, been over 8 years since we shot it last.....)

What is this Metalife coating, never heard of it.

that is a chromium plating done by Ron Mahovsky, and is called Metalife SS, he is located in Penna. and has a website mahovskymetalife.com I believe,,,,, we had ours done back in the mid 1970s, and is very durable, hard , I believe 53 on a Rockwell scale??? check with Ron....back then a lot of the cops in the Cleveland area had their guns through Ron, was the "in thing" but now you can get actual stainless built guns in about ANY maker........
