Had my 14-2 out today and at about 20 yrds, it was shooting to the right. It 0was consistently putting shots about 5-6 inches to the right. All the other guns that I shot today were putting holes right where I wanted them, just this one kept repeatedly going to the right.
I was wondering if i loosened the barrel (2.5 incher) and tightened it back up again, if that might change the point of impact. They were about right height-wise, just that they were headed for the target next to where I was shooting. I know, it's a short barrel. Just trying to get it as close as possible.
thanks for any input.

That doesn't have adjustable sights right? If not then try to reseat the barrel and see what happens. Are you sure it isn't 'operator error'? I had a ton of problems getting used to a SIG, thought it was the gun, turned out to be me. Easily corrected with practice.
BTW were you shooting off had or from a rest? If off hand, try shooting a few rounds off a rest and see what happens, that should take the human factor mostly out of the equation.

First input is that 5"-6" right on a 2 1/2" at 20 yards is not horrible, so I'd ask if there is ANY right tendency at 10 and 15 yards?
Check the hole in the shroud to see if there is any slop in relation to the pin that is allowing the shroud to twist, throwing off the POA/POI.
And absolutely shoot it from a solid rest, single action, slow fire at a variety of distances to really nail down the extent of the problem.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

It was all off handed. I'll allow for operator error for sure. It just was odd that all the other guns were going fine and this one was consistently to the right. I'll try re-positioning the barrel and see if that helps. I was popping off golf balls with my 15-2, but that has an 8-inch barrel so, there are more differences than simply the sights.
Just wasn't sure if anyone had any luck with losening the barrel or not. Not that I'm looking to "reach out and touch someone" at those distances. It would just be nice to have it dialed in to do so.

Read my post in the Other Brands Pictures category, about my recent experiences with my SIG P250. I could'nt hit the paper at 10yds while I could hit 9 and 10 rings with the 15-2 same day. Turned out to be me, I was dipping the barrel and pulling right due to a DAO trigger with 5-6lbs of pull. It took a laser boresight and some dry firing in my basement at the same range to see what I was subconciously doing. The same methods allowed me to correct my problem. Combat sights were contributing to my problems, not used to them yet. I found a few shots off a rest helped me prove the gun OK and also to allow me to keep the muzzel up.
Try the rest and single action and see where you are grouping. Checking the barrel and barrel gap can't hurt anyting, but I think you will find that its more you than the gun.

As Steve said, 5-6" off for a fixed sight 2 1/2" barrel is not horrible. I would check the barrel gap, and if you are running .006" gap, you may try experimenting with setting the gap a little tighter, see if it makes a difference. I run .003" in mine with no problems. Also, maybe try different brands of ammo, or bullet weights, you might find a brand your gun likes better.

Someone with the same problem a while back, asked about adjusting (loosening/re-tightening) the shroud, but I don't recall hearing how it worked out for him.
I'd say it's worth a shot for sure. But do as Steve suggested & shoot a few rounds from a rest, so you have a baseline to go from when you fiddle with the shroud.

I think it is the 14-2 send it to me as it will only provide more frustrations!!!
Ah just a rant to collect more Dan's!!
My thought is operator error, then again still close enough to get the job done! Let us know what happens with the suggestions! and some would always help!

Yes , all the above. Could be ammo, shroud tilted, your grip on the gun,
or the way your trigger pull is releasing. I had a similar problem with
6 in barrel and change of grip made some difference.
If all this fails to correct the problem head over to EWK arms and pick up
a barrel at a very affordable price.
