Sorry it's the 22lr. So it sounds like the gaps are consistent from 357 to 22.That answers my question,thanks
Part of the reason for the .006 gap on a 15-2 is the heat expansion of the cylinder. I suspect that would be less in a 22lr. The other reasons are powder buildup on the cylinder face and the possibility of a less than perpendicular cylinder face. If the cylinder face is true and you wipe the face with a rag every few dozen rounds I believe you could make the gap .003 or .004. Take the tool with you when you go shooting also.
