Looking for some info on my soon to arrive 15-2 8in 22lr. My question is on the barrel clearance. Is it set the same as the 357 or are there differences. Thanks

Firstly, if it is a Model 15-2 then it is in .357 Magnum ... a .22LR is a Model 22 (if blued and 722 if stainless).

Most models use a .006" feeler gauge to adjust the barrel to cylinder gap. There is also a .002" tool, but I'm not sure what model(s) use that one.

Sorry it's the 22lr. So it sounds like the gaps are consistent from 357 to 22.That answers my question, thanks

Part of the reason for the  .006 gap on a 15-2 is the heat expansion of the cylinder. I suspect that would be less in a 22lr. The other reasons are powder buildup on the cylinder face and the possibility of a less than perpendicular cylinder face. If the cylinder face is true and you wipe the face with a rag every few dozen rounds I believe you could make the gap  .003 or  .004. Take the tool with you when you go shooting  also.
