Unless I am mistaken, you can buy barrel assemblies for either blued or stainless DWs from CZ. Has anyone done this, and are they the same as the good stuff that we got in the Dan Wesson heyday?

Yes you can buy from CZ. CZ owns DW but DW operates pretty much independent so I would buy directly from them. The barrels will come from the same place (DW). The only difference in the B/As will be, the shroud is laser etched instead of roll marked like older models. Some guys insist on matching gear, the bullets won’t care.

Yes, the quality is there. However, as LB said, the marking on the shrouds is different. Some of us hold out for used roll-marked shrouds.
