My 15-2 while firing on range, suddenly went to what I can only describe as a half cocked position, hammer would not move, cylinder would not move, nor could I open the cylinder, hammer was not in full cock or all the way down. Keeping barrel pointed down range, I started to put more pressure on trigger hammer falls round goes down range. All returned to normal for few more rounds. Then same result. I did not have gap guage with me(that won't happen again), but did seem too tight when checked later.  Has anyone else had any similar experience?

Most cylinders are not perfectly flat on the front. There will be one or more chambers that are tighter than the others. Check for this when you set the gap. The gap can shrink from coating by powder residue, etc. It needs to be checked regularly. The buildup will jam the cylinder. Then strange things can happen. big-grin

If you are using a small gap wipe the face of the cylinder with a rag every couple of cylinders worth of rounds.

As the cylinder heats up it gets longer by .001" or more.  That's why it appeared to be normal for a bit (gun cooled down) and then occurred again as it heated up.  Well, at least that's a theory...

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Hi all, taken me longer then I expected to get back to this problem, I changed grips, gave a good cleaning, went back to range and all worked as designed.Ifeel the problem was the many times mentioned of over tighting the grip. Changed from target grip to combat grip was all I really did and purposely left grip secure but looser and problem solved. Thanks to all that gave suggestions. All help is always appreciated.
