15 or 715 barrel on a W12 frame?

Hey everyone,

I think I want to jump on the DW wagon. I have been tinkering with my S&W for a bit now and want to branch out. There is a seller with a W12 pork chop near me, but I want to put a longer barrel on it. I hear that a 15/715 barrel will fit on the W12 but the sights will be off. Is that correct?

In general, how much better is the Model 15/715 than the W12?

EWK makes great pieces for DW's, that plate works for the proper locator pin placement of the 14/15 barrel. I think that is the only drawback as the gun will shoot high. Other than aesthetics my W12 shoots every bit as good as my 715.
