I just got back from a trip to the great state of SC. We have been hunting there a few days each year for the last three years. Every year till now my wife or children were the only ones who actually found something to take, me the old man never saw a thing to to shoot at. This year changed courses a bit. First night out close to dark I spotted three hogs about 100 yards out and took one with the Siamese Mauser actioned 45-70 and put some 150lbs. of Bacon on the hook. Next morning out an antlerless, OK Button Buck that I didn't identify real well, decided to take position about 55 yards out and one shot of the Magnum Research 475 Linebaugh revolver put him right down to earth for some fine venison. The highlight came two days later in the mid morning where a group of about eight hogs decided to take to hanging around. They were all grouped up that you could not shoot just one except for one lone hog who was not as wise as the rest. He was feeding along looking straight my direction as I took aim with the 414SM with the 2.5-8X Leupold fixed between his eyes. One crack and he had a new hole in his head right between the eyes. That boar was 115lbs. and will make some good pulled pork sandwiches. DW claimed one on the trip. Ready for next year already!!

I'm planning a hog hunt for 2010--maybe Texas... Congrats on yours!

That's a great idea maybe you could get ahold of some of our Texas members to hook you up in the right places. I have only taken one boar and that was when I was living in Arkansas and it was more of a defensive action than a hunt for it. LOL nasty littly critter's they can be. But some good eating it was! I wouldn't mind going to Texas for a boar hunt myself!
BTW awesome picture of the Boar and good hunting!
