Hello, I have a chance to buy a 22 mini pac , this is a brown small case and it has a 4 digit serial # on the 22 pistol. It dates around 1979, The pistol comes with a 6 V barrel, tool,tool paper pouch,and the brown small case.
1) Did the pac come with one barrel of your choice?
2) Was the mini pac offered from Dan Wesson or was the case a extra item you could purchase and make a small pac. for yourself?
any info will be very helpful.

In most of the ads I've seen a mini pac consisted of the frame and two barrel assemblies. With that being said pac (and I'm assuming mini pacs) could be special ordered in any configuration a buyer wanted. So if you wanted a mini pack with a V6 and VH6 it could be ordered that way. I also also think at the time cases could have been ordered as well.

That's correct. When I bought my 725 and 744 new, I ordered a case from the dealer for each gun with the intent of completing pac's at some future date. That has been successfully accomplished, though it took a lot longer than I originally planned.
