22M (the.22 Mag) is a tougher item to find, however a couple guys here have sent their 22/722's to DW/CZ to be set up as dual caliber .22lr/.22 WMR with good results.
I have a 722 which I really like to shoot. It's not my most accurate .22, but it only loses out by a little bit, and .22 lr is a lot of fun in a revolver.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Is the barrel size different between the 22 and the 22M?
22 mag bullets are larger in diameter than 22 lr are thus the reason you don't see may 22 lr/22 mag guns. The Single Six and clone use the larger 22 mag barrel and just let the smaller 22 lr do its thing in the larger barrel. Though there is not much difference in size, there is a difference.
The 22mag is .224 and the 22lr is .223.
When you send a 22 to DW for a conversion to 22M, do they swap out the barrels?
Do you have a 22 lr barrel and a 22 mag barrel?
I assume you have to have the cylinder swapped out too or are they reaming it out?
So what does DW do? Are they just converting the 22 to a 22m or are they making it so you can shoot both 22lr and 22mag?

I have a 22M and it is at Norwich getting a look over as it was shooting eratically, and the barrel nut is "stuck". I just got it of an auction and the first time out it was bad. I call Keith at CZ and he said the barrels are the same for the 22 and 22M.
I don't know anything about the cylinders. I have a Ruger New Model Single Six in both LR and Mag and it is accurate. I was hoping the DW 22M would be as good or better and am sure it will be after the tune up.
