Guys,

I went into my faviorate shop last Friday and they pull out a 22LR Mini Pac from behind the counter.  The owner had held it back until I dropped by the look at it.  Based on the ad I found the mini pac was introduced in 1979.  This one is in excellent condition.   It came with the 2 6″ barrels and a 4″ barrel.  Also included was the barrel wrench, extra sights, grip and case.

The second 6″ barrel is not orginial to the set so I will be selling it if anyone is interested.  I'll be listing it in the for sale section later this morning.

Below is the small ad from 1979 and the pictures of the mini pac.  I paid $750 which I think was on the high side however how offen to do you see one of these.

In the 2nd photo the grip looks like the zebra wood grip.  A set with the case is becoming a rare find.  Looks like a great set.  Happy shooting.

Jody- Great find, it's beautiful and unique. It's great to have a dealer that knows what you want and will hold something for you.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Robert you are correct they are zebrawood grips.  Based on the article below they were an upgrade to the standard grips.

Here is a close up of the grips:

Here is the entire ad for the Dan Wesson 22 from 1979:

Beautiful and getting very hard to find.  The Zebra wood grip always fetches a premium price when it comes up for auction.  It really dresses up the gun, but is also a durable wood and stands up to practical use.
