I just purchased a Dan Wesson 22 Pistol Pac from my Uncle. According to him it's never been fired and was handed down to him by his Father. It only has 3 barrels and apparently came that way because the case only has cutouts for 3 barrels. Every picture and everything I can find on this says it came with 4 barrels. I have the 8", the 6" and the 4" but not the 2". Does anyone know why I only have 3 barrels? The serial # is 183xx. Any idea what this is worth also? I can't find the 22's for sale anywhere in a complete pack. Thank you in advance for any information.
By the way what a beautiful revolver!!! I need the buckle and patch and feeler gauge if anyone has them for sale.
Correction: My Wife just took the yellow cloth off the padding and now I see there are 4 cutouts so I am missing the 2". Does CZ sell these? Should I find one and make this a complete set? I also found the buckle, sights and manual under the padding so I just need the patch I guess.

.22 Pistol Packs are not real common. You could get that 2 1/2" BA from DW in Norwich, but the shroud will not be rollmarked to match your other other shrouds. You might check eBay and Gunbroker
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

when you are looking for a barrel you will need to determine the style that you have currently. It can be std or full lug, and the rib will either be solid or vented. IMHO...You probably want to match em up. The forum has a section that can help you with identification. Congratualtions on the pac.....Are you going to shoot it .

It has the vented rib on top but not the heavy lug. I think it's a 22V by looking at the brochure and sticker. Yes I absolutely want everything to match as this was purchased to be an heirloom to my boys. Had no intention of shooting it, although after taking it all apart and cleaning it last night I determined it has been fired and found a couple teeny tiny spots of rust on the crown of one of the barrels. I gave everything an oil bath and gonna let that sit for a few days before I wipe her down real good and put her in the safe where she will be staying.
Also, I found a factory sticker with the serial # and it has the 2",4",6" and 8" barrels listed with only the 2" barrel x'ed out, leading me to believe that it was purchased without the 2". Now I'm wondering if I should keep it that way?

If it was me, I'd go ahead and buy a 2.5" BA even though it's crossed out on the label. All that says to future owners is that you cared enough to complete the set. However, make sure that the BA you buy is correct; meaning it has the Monson style rollmark and the front bottom of the shroud is tapered indicating a non-heavy BA.
Good luck finding that.

I think your pac could very well have been ordered without the 2 1/2" barrel, the foam was was probably standard with all the cutouts in all the pacs.
Like Zoomb said it would be a nice touch to add the short barrel assembly though. If you watch Ebay and Gunbroker they do come around every once in a while as well as the other pieces you are looking for. I wouldn't expect any great deals on the barrel assembly when you run across one though.

Welcome and congradulations on getting your grandfather's gun. Since it has already been fired I would shoot it with your boys so they could treasure the memory too. .22lr is no strain on a dan wesson and if you handle it carefully and keep it clean and oiled it should stay sharp looking. No holstering and laying it down casually( I mean the boys). Be careful that the extra barrels don't move around in the case and produce "handling marks". I would wrap them separatly. E bay is your surest bet to find a barrel and if you think the price is high it will only go higher.
