Every time I think I have a grasp of all the verious shroud designes, another one comes along. Jaggman, that one is very cool
In my favorite color too.

Yeah, I guess that's kind of like all the options rolled into one. Although no laser option. I may have to have Eric drill me a hole.

Eric,
Here's an example of what I believe Palo is talking about. My 44 Mag VH8 Slotted Compensated with a SS barrel.
I'm gonna go spin the 357SM spare barrel up in the lathe and see if I can polish it up to a mirror finish.
***EDIT*** -- 5 min on the lathe and it is already drool worthy !

Thanks for the picture Jagg, looks awesome! Now look what you started...
Looks great shoot, keep going at it!!!
On hole Jagg, that wouldn't be a problem at all...as long as you're willing to mod your original shroud...of course you could wait till I get the shrouds going if you'd rather not do that...with all these great ideas, there sure is gonna be ALOT more different variations of shrouds...so poor Wayne is gonna have more to add to the mental inventory!

Eric - when will production begin! Are you doing the bluing too or maybe Mark Waldo at Blue Rridge?
Guys,
Which style would you guys like to see done first? Since EVERYBODY has a 15 (some of us only 15s, ) and the 15 shroud .DWG could be fabbed and stamped either .22LR, .22WM or .357M, my vote is for............................the 15 style . (er,slotted, er 8", V, not HV,)
(Oh, and Shoot, is that barrel just a regular barrel or is it stainless and your putting a mirror finish on it?)

It's the stock barrel on the model 40 357SM -- I assume it is stainless, since it wasn't blued.

Hey Palo, Work is already underway, I'm hoping to have some done around the first of the year. Its gonna take so long with the other stuff I have going on, and I'm starting from scratch in the gundrilling, rifling, and hot bluing departments.
Planing on doing the hot bluing in house, I'm open to sending out work as that would definately speed things up, but I don't think it will work out cost wise. For example, I checked into purchasing the barrels as that would help a bunch, and I can't get people to return my phone calls, or the cost is way too much. I'm trying to price them at a good bit less than CZ. For the prices I've been coming across on barrel blanks, it would be cheaper to buy barrels from CZ already made!
The bright side is once things are going it won't take as long to get on to the other designs.

Okay, I've got evidence I'm working-and its parts for the rifling machine too!

Okay, back to work, I'm with Shoot, while I'd like to get the goodies going sooner than later, I don't want to compromise the quality.
Oh, I was planning on working Thanksgiving day, but my Mom wants me to be there at the dinner. Anyone wanna call and tell her the importance of me working?

Eric,
As Jody said, we are all excited about your endeavor to fill this market niche which will not only be financially worth your efforts, but also will be putting your name down permanately in the legacy of a fine firearm. I am sure that you have already checked on patent rights, so good luck and know that you have us rooting for you.
