Hello all, this looks like the place to ask so what do you think the value of this is?
Its my grandfathers and he is selling it but has no idea what its worth and Ive been give the task of finding out.
He is the original owner I think he got it in 1979 and it looks complete, has tools, sights a belt buckle even a patch plus all the paper work.
All responses are greatly appreciated.
very nice and clean looking pistol pack
can grandather add more detail? like rough usage, number of rounds fired through each barrel? scans of paperwork?
i hope you've checked 'gunbrocker' for information in your research. Right now there's one for 2k.
I don't like to see a holster! The wear and discoloration that can happen makes me cringe. Sell it separate.
Has porkchop shrouds which I do not like, but that's personal
And as they say around here 'pictures please' so set the camera for macro.
good luck, take your time and get pops a good deal

That is a nice looking Pack (not Porkchop shrouds, just the standard shroud profile with no heavy underlug). Unless there are issues with function or cosmetics, probably $800 is a good starting place.
You can pin down the manufacture year on that 15-2 Pack on the Serial Number Registry pretty easily:

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
