Can someone tell me what the 375SM is? How does it compare to the 357 supermag. I'm assuming the caliber is larger. Is that correct. I've seen it referenced for years but never really knew what it was. Thanks.
The 375SM is essentially a 375 Short Winchester round, made from a trimmed down 375 WIN cartridge. Wesson made four super mags: 357, 375, 414 and 445 (not counting the 44Rhinos they did as prototypes to the 445, and independent Rhino conversions). The 375SM is the 2nd rarest after the 414SM. I believe the 357SM was the most common (if you can call any of them "common"). I have this in blue....not sure if they made it in stainless? Would love to find one if they did!

According to what we know today, all the SM's were available in stainless, except the .375 which was only in blue.
TM, from all I've read so far, the Rhino wasn't developed as a prototype by DW, that work was done by a smith unaffiliated with DW prior to the .445 SM's release. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't forget the 460 SuperMag

Isn't this basically like the 44 Rhino? That is, it never made it into production? Would love to get one...but I don't think there are many out there (perhaps ONE??)

TM, the 460SM was pretty much a .45ACP SuperMag, if I recall correctly. And as Jody said, so far all we've been told indicates that DW made ONE only. One of our first members to join the forum owned it for a while, then sold it to some nameless lucky bugger.
There's a couple threads here about the gun. I can't get the search feature to cooperate with me tonight, or I'd post thread links. Anyway, I did save pics from those threads...behold, the one & only 460 SuperMag! (notice the experimental s/n)
BTW, this is not to be confused with the 460 Rowland (not a SuperMag), which was a production gun for a short time...
That did catch my attention, but I think the price is a bit high. Though the seller does list it as #1 in the series, but not sure what that means.
