Has anyone ever seen a 9" + barrel for a 375 Supermag? I recently found one new and I have never seen any other than the standard 8" barrel's in this caliber that go with the slotted shrouds. I am looking into getting a shroud to go with it.

If it's a vented barrel, count the vents, multiply by 2 for the barrel length. If you have a newer compensated barrel, it will have a knurled nut on the end and 3 cross-cut slots in the top. For this barrel, and 8 inch version will measure 9 3/8 inches from the front of the cylinder to the front of the knurled nut. The barrel is still an 8 incher, but the compensator chamber comprises the extra length.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I had not thought about the fact that it may have been intended for a compensated shroud. When I wrote I already had it boxed to go to CZ to get a shroud built so I do not have it right now to measure. My primary puzzlement was I have never seen this scenario in a .375 before. Has anyone else?

Both DW Monson and Palmer made assorted barrel lengths for all the interchangeable barrel models. I have a model 40, 357max and I've seen a 12" barrel /shroud for it, unfortunately it cost more than my entire set with the 6", two 8", and a 10" barrel sets, so I passed on it and haven't seen one since.
